  • How is it living in a different country?

My stay in France has been nice so far. I was ready for a lot of surprises (both good and bad) and was not disappointed. It was a little challenging in the beginning to arrange for everything, especially since I don’t speak or understand French. But after the initial few weeks, things started to settle down. Since then I have visited many places in and around Paris and each new place has always amazed me. Although I miss Indian food (a lot), it has been a really nice experience of living in a completely different environment to what I have been used to.

  • What motivated you to be in the FiBreMoD project?

I had been looking for similar research positions since after I finished my masters. When I came to know of the FiBreMoD project, I was really interested to be a part of it. I was looking for something like this for the last few months as it had a lot more to offer than most other research positions. I immediately started my preparations for applying to this project and after a long recruitment process which lasted for about 3-4 months, I was luckily selected.

  • What are your thoughts and first impressions about the whole FiBreMoD project?

Being part of a project like FiBreMoD allows you to interact with researchers from different organizations who are working on similar topics. This involves lots of travelling and networking opportunities which makes this whole concept very different from other projects. There’s so much to learn and explore throughout the period that you are always on your toes. Although challenging, this experience helps you to develop a lot more skills than just the ability of doing research.

  • Any dream for your future you would like to share?

Nothing specific. I just want to have a strong contribution to things that are directly related to my life, as much as possible. This includes giving my best to the work I do, to my family and friends, and to everyone around.

  • If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why?

I always wanted to travel back and forth in time. Just to experience how life was a few hundred years ago and how it would be in the coming centuries.
